August 4 – 14, 2011 (Eight smash performances!)

The Ever-popular, Tony Award-winning Broadway Musical
based on the well-known Harold Gay comic strip Little Orphan Annie
By Meehan, Strouse, and Charnin
Produced by Al Edick, Maureen Edick and Marylou Morrison
Directed by  Annette Hobbs
Musical direction by Kandi Rosendahl
Choreography by Laura Roper

Eleven-year-old Annie is in an orphanage run by a bullying woman.  After a foiled escape
attempt, the police return Annie to the orphanage.  The personal assistant to millionaire
"Daddy" Oliver Warbucks then picks her to live in Warbucks' palatial home for the Christmas
holidays, and although initially uncomfortable, the two soon come to love one another.
Warbucks decides he wants to adopt her, but Annie insists that her parents will come for her
and he arranges for help in finding them…a story and accompanying music (“Tomorrow,” “It’
s the Hard-Knock Life,” et al) that have charmed audiences for decades.

The original Broadway production ran for nearly six years, had national and international
tours, and spawned numerous productions in other countries.

“An elating piece of family theater that deserves to become the mass-entertainment holiday
staple it aspires to be”
—New York Times

“Beams with opening-night energy and charm”—Variety

“Possess[es] many features of such holiday favorites as A Christmas Carol or It's a
Wonderful Life…it would take one hard-hearted soul to withstand the charms of the chorus
of orphans who sing their hearts out and dance up a storm”
